वर्ष २००५ मध्ये महाराष्ट्र मंडळ जॅकसनविल, फ्लोरिडा ची स्थापना एक सांस्कृतिक, शैक्षणिक, ना नफा ना तोटा तत्वावर चालणारी संघटना म्हणून झाली. मराठी संस्कृतीवर प्रेम करणा-या लोकांच्या या संस्थेचा विस्तार खूप वेगाने होत आहे. महाराष्ट्र मंडळाचे वर्ष जानेवारीत सुरू होते आणि वर्षभरात संक्रांत, गुढी पाडवा, गणेश चतुर्थी, दिवाळी, सहल असे अनेक कार्यक्रम साजरे होतात.

महाराष्ट्र मंडळाचा उद्देश ज्याक्स्नव्हील, फ्लोरिडा मधील आणि नजीकच्या परिसरातील सर्व मराठी लोकांना एकत्र आणून मराठी संस्कृतीचे जतन व प्रचार करणे, हा सांस्कृतिक वारसा नवीन पिढीपर्यंत पोहचवणे, मुलांना आपली भाषा, संस्कृती आणि संगीत शिकवणे. मराठी संगीत, साहित्य आणि सामाजिक रितिरिवाजांचा प्रसार करून मराठी संस्कृतीचे संवर्धन करणे हा आहे.

(Nov 16 2013) The last event of MMJAX for 2013 Diwali, ‘The Festival of Lights’ was celebrated with a great enthusiasm on Nov 16 2013. About 150 people attended this event. The event started with wonderful Rangoli, Akashdiwa and Panati exhibition followed by social hour and delicious Diwali Faral.
The cultural program started with Ganesh Vandana and featured Nilu Fule mimicry, a Magic show, several wonderful song performances and numerous beautiful dances on Marathi as well as Hindi songs.

The cultural program was followed by a wonderful dinner. After the dinner kids as we as adults enjoyed variety of fireworks. The night concluded with DH where in several members enjoyed themselves by dancing on some up beat songs. Please click on following image to see the pictures.

(Oct 18 2013) MMJAX celebrated the Kojagiri Purnima. Several enthusiastic people presented their talent this evening to entertain the audience with Songs, Poems, Jokes and Music. The event was attended by about 100 people who enjoyed the ‘Masala Milk’ and the beautiful full moon of Kojagiri. Clik the image below to see all pictures.

Atharvashirsha Chanting During this largely celebrated festival of Maharashtra MMJAX organized ‘Atharvashirsha Chanting for 1000 times’. Atharvashirsha Chanting is a traditional event of MMJAX which is being organized since 2003. This year a big number of people participate in this. About 100 people performed this group chanting of Atharvashirsha in front of Ganesh idol. Please click on following image to see the pictures.
